Han, (한) The forest of Languageless

Can technology express human emotions? We've always been intrigued by expressing our emotions in physical forms. That's why We've constantly pondered ways to receive comfort from technology through interactive installations.In Korea, 'Han(한, 恨)' is a feeling of profound sadness and anger that stems from negative experiences and lasts for an extended period of time. As a result, we are interested in exploring ways to express people's emotions through works of art that capture the essence of Han.The audience experiences 'Han (한, 恨)' as a lone waterbird.During Japan's colonization of Korea under the Joseon dynasty, the people suffered physically and mentally without rest. The audience is led to become a waterbird, interacting with the artwork to directly feel solitude, loneliness, and frustration.
